What is MMT or Modern Monetary Theory? (MMT 6)

It isn’t modern – it is decades old. Nor is it a single theory. Rather it is a lot of different ideas, loosely connected, which have been collected under one banner. Helicopter money is just one idea bundled under the MMT banner.
