What’s Hot

  • A broad spread of winners this month.
  • A single Biotech fund leads the way as investor confidence rebounds after a tough start to the year.
  • China funds had a standout month with four making it into the top ten, all with over 8% gains. Growth-oriented Baillie Gifford tops the list.
  • While growth shines in China, value takes the lead in US Small Cap funds, with FTF Royce as the sectors sole top performer.
  • Tech had another solid month, and L&G Global 100 makes an appearance – a fund made up of the top 100 companies in the world.

What’s Not

  • UK funds dominate the dud list over July…
  • Real Estate struggled amid economic uncertainty and cautious occupier sentiment.
  • Long dated gilts struggled as well as UK mid and small-cap funds, in contrast to their large cap peers which had a decent month.
  • Man Absolute Value fund makes the list as its short book was a drag on performance.
