What's Hot

What’s Hot?

  • Tech and tech-driven North America are dominant…
  • …driven by the mania in the Magnificent 7 tech companies… well most of them.
  • Ditto the Global sector.
  • Japan is there by dint of the Nikkei being bought by global investors…
  • …whether and the extent to which this follows through into small caps is of great interest…
  • …see Japan Blossoming
  • Of considerable interest is the appearance of Global Equity Income…
  • …investors beginning to position for interest rates falling and looking for alternatives, and these are primarily Value fund…
  • …see Best Value Funds Update which also links back to a volume of other research on Value funds.

What’s Not?

  • China suffered even more this month, and it seems inevitable that their authorities will have to ramp up initiatives to restore confidence in this cheap but huge market.
  • Three of the other sectors have an Asia bias, and they are being pulled down by China, which is more important than the US to these markets.
  • The remaining sector is UK linkers.  Not an easy one to gauge, and best avoided in case there is another hiatus with a general election looming.
