What’s Hot

·         Tech had a notable rebound over the dragging up the wider US sector.

·         Beyond that, the gains were modest.

·         Emerging markets might not be so positive with another bout of dollar strength unfolding.

·         Smaller companies in Japan were a strong feature helping the wider sector.

·         Biotech was up, but the underlying funds were very mixed.

What’s Not

India has been drifting since June…

…if it bottomed at the end of March it needs to break upwards soon to show a new uptrend is underway.

Oil and gold dragged down the commodities sector.

Property and infrastructure are not helped by long term interest rates heading up.

China had drifted, ignoring recent good news on growth plans.
