This month’s “What’s Hot? What’s Not?” is a very clear-cut picture (with one notable exception) – Asia on the up, UK in the doghouse.
What’s Hot?
- Korea, China and Japan all shine this month.
- Our Trade of the Decade (Japanese Smaller Companies) had a strong month, joined by two other Japan funds
- Four China funds also feature
- A (small) global equity fund also shows, with a tech and Asia bias
- PLUS a Targeted Absolute Return fund as a Korean bed-fellow. Further evidence of the inherent confusion and dangers of this sector
What’s Not?
- The UK is unloved this month, with all sectors featuring.
- UK All Companies makes up the bulk of the bottom list…
- …along with a sprinkling of Smaller Companies funds and one Equity Income fund.
- Property doesn’t escape. Henderson’s fund is settling into an unfortunate rhythm, swinging the price as some City “remainders” persist in trying to sell
