Dynamic smaller companies are vital to the health of the UK economy, and the best of them are doing rather well. Much of the developed world is going through a contained economic depression, contained, rather than something worse, by virtue of regular central bank rescues (e.g. QE). This has created a sufficiently stable environment for more dynamic smaller companies to make remarkable progress.
